Thumbs up Japshow Finale 2009 - My 1/4 Mile Drag Strip Run Videos.

I have owned my latest GTR for nearly 2 months now.

Although I have only really had access to her and the keys for a couple of weeks in total, due to experiencing problems with her since purchase - thanks to the frustrating cowboy type antics of the previous owners.

I was determined to take her down the strip to see how well she performed after having been properly repaired and fully setup by TR Racing.

Here are the videos of my 4 runs down the 1/4 mile drag strip there.
Second and third runs being the best of the four.

Best ET was 12.3644.
Best MPH was 118.70.

YouTube - 1st Run - Santa Pod - Jap Show Finale 2009 - Wide Arch (HKS/OSG/ORC) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - tame launch without launch control

YouTube - 2nd Run - Santa Pod - Jap Show Finale 2009 - Wide Arch (HKS/OSG/ORC) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - hard-ish launch with launch control

YouTube - 3rd Run - Santa Pod - Jap Show Finale 2009 - Wide Arch (HKS/OSG/ORC) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - hard-ish launch with launch control

YouTube - 4th Run - Santa Pod - Jap Show Finale 2009 - Wide Arch (HKS/OSG/ORC) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - relaxed launch without launch control

What do you guys think?

Even though I am now sadly £4,500 lighter than I expected or wanted to be when I initially purchased the car. I can safely say that since picking her up from TR Racing... TR Racing and the GTR have managed to put a smile back to my face.

I was aiming for runs somewhere in the 11's, but with a bit of practice I should be seeing 11 second runs.

Cheers!

Hi mate. Thanks. Was nice to meet you too. Did you end up winning best in our class? I came second. Winner was 6T11 I think.

Best run I did at Shakey's was: -

60ft - 2.099
330ft - 5.428
660ft - 8.159
990ft - 10.382
1320ft - 12.358 (1/4 mile)
ET - 119.78mph

Two different drag strips, two different days and best time on both was 12.3seconds.

I was aiming for the 11 second mark.
However, she isn't exactly a lightweight R32, running on 19" wheels and was dragging on road tyres - and a full boot. So the odds were against me. lol.

The launch control (5500rpm) may actually be having a negative efect on my start and 60ft times. Still indecisive.

Hi,yes did win.Without knowing your bhp it is difficult to have a target E/T.I am sure with 4WD you can your 60ft down with tyres or tyre pressures and what you get off is about doubled at stripe.Your 60ft is not much lower than mine and my car is 2WD ,it does take time and practice.Good luck.

Found this photo on another site and cannot put in calender section so will put it here lol.
