When choosing a set of coilovers, there are many concerns that everyone have.
Price, Quality, Comfort, Height Adjustability, and these are just a few of the questions most people will ask when looking for a new set of coilovers.

Many people believe that coilovers have to be "stiff", but that is because many coilovers on the market are design for track usage and therefore are design to be use on flat road surfaces with very strong damping rate.
However, an over dampened damper will actually decrease traction on uneven road surfaces.
Not only does this create an extremely uncomfortable ride, it also significantly reduce performance and driver confidence on surfaces that we drive on everyday.

MeisterR decided to develop a new line of suspension specifically for the UK uneven road surfaces and address all the concerns that everyone have.
We experimented with a range of springs rate, damper valving, and different damper stroke travel until we come up with a combination that satisfy our balance of ride comfort, height adjustability, and dynamic control.

MeisterR Zeta-S / Zeta-R Coilovers for Nissan Skyline
(Pictures is off a Honda Civic, will update with the Skyline photos at a later date)

The Zeta-S Coilovers had many adjustments made in order to make the coilovers better for everyday fast road uses. The basic remains the same as before using high quality adjustable monotube dampers, linear rate springs, and a modern dual perch coilovers design. Zeta-S have revised damping specifically made for the UK roads, longer damper stroke travel for the bumps and dips, 32 stage damping adjustment for fine tuning your desired ride, and it is 23% lighter than previous generation.

Zeta-S Aluminium Top Mount with Harden Rubber Bushing.
Anodised Red Aluminium Top Mount replace your old and tired steel top mount.
The harden rubber bushing are able to provide precise steering feedback while absorbing NVH (Noise, Vibiration, Harshness) making it a better option for fast road use.

Zeta-R Aluminium Top Mount with Pillowball Bearing.
Anodised Red Aluminium Top Mount replace your old and tired steel top mount.
The Japanese pillowball bearing increase steering response by removing any possible slack between the suspension and the chassis.

MonoTube Dampers with Black Chromium Plated Body, Cold Coiling SAE9254 Chrome Silicon Steel Springs
MonoTube Dampers ensure high performance damping and ability to dissipate heat under hard usage.
The Black Chromium Plating have endure 120 hours salt spray test under ASTM B117 Standard with no sign of corrosion.
There are 32 stage damping adjustment (Compression and Rebound Combined). Lengthen Rubber Boot ensure the damper piston will be protected from harsh environment.
The Cold Coiled Linear Rate Springs use high grade SAE9254 Steel to ensure strength and provide linear and predictable weight transfer characteristic.

Anodised Aluminium Spring Perch and Locking Collar
Lightweight Aluminium Collars are use to lock your springs and brackets in place.
The "Polyamide" springs isolator are use to reduce noise and spring binding issue associated with rubber isolator.

Aluminium Lower Bracket
Lightweight Aluminium Bracket are used to reduce weight even further.

how do these compare to hsd's ? do they go as low and do they adjust in the same way ? as in you shorten or lengthen the shock by screwing or unscrewing the shock into the bottom mount ? or is it done using the locking collors ??

The damper valving on the MeisterR Zeta-S / Zeta-R are specifically designed for the UK / European Roads.
The MeisterR Coilovers will provide compliant handling on the uneven road surfaces that you drive on everyday, but with enough damping adjustments so you can limit your body roll on those odd occasional track days.

Its hard to "compare" how one suspension unit against another one as there are a lot of difference, and one might be better in certain area but worst in another... there are always some "trade off" no matter how you design a suspension system.

The MeisterR are same as the HSD in terms that they are both dual perch construction (you lengthen / shorten the damper body using the lower bracket and the locking collar).
This give the best way to adjust the car's ride height as it will allow independent adjustment of the spring pre-loads, and lowering the ride height will not decrease damper stroke travel.

Some of the things we change on the Zeta-S / Zeta-R is increase its "refinement" which the previous generation of coilovers were lacking.

The 32 stage damping adjustments allow finer adjustment point over the refined damping range.
This is very useful as the previous generation of the Zeta Coilovers had only 15 damping adjustments that was slightly too far apart, especially on the harder adjustment level where 1 click massively change the rebound curve.

Another thing was the new damper coating.
The "Black Chromium" coating was a few that we tested and found to be the best.
We tested the damper in a salt spray tester for 120 hours under ASTM B117 standard and found no sign of corrosion.

There are other bits such as using more light weight material to decrease the total damper weight by about 25%, etc...

I hope that answer some of your questions... if you have any other concerns, please feel free to let me know.

Yep, Mark is loving his car for sure.
I was jumping up and down when he took the win at BDC Round 4 also.

Just to let everyone know the offer is still on, and most everything is in stock.

Will try to post up some review and pictures off owners ASAP.

You have a wide range of adjustments in the coilovers, but I would say near standard height all the way to tyres tucking is possible.

You can get around -80mm or so pretty easily as the standard suspension design have alot of room for adjustments.
