Mines Chipped ECU

I have one, think of selling it... but my question is.

If they are pretty much sealed and unmappable then why is there one on ebay with a £150bid. Aint Andy from SOC? Aint Coupe geezer from here also? (the negativity guy)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MakeTrack=true

Shall I sell mine?

I take it I dont need it if I but an Apexi Power FC as that comes with an ECU? Right?

Cheers

Alex.

I've been keeping an eye on that and came to the decision that - nah, aint worth it...

I did some research Mines ECU's and the are parctically sold as seen, unless you actually purchase them from Mines or Prospec.

I am not quite sure how you can tell what you get for your money... You're probably the best to say whether it is worth it.

Cars going into RL tomorrow to be sorted for the lean running det bang bang thing...I'll see what they reckon tomorrow then decide and we can discuss on Sunday night over a nice cup of flasked mocha choca.

Probably put a plan together then.. I think my first priority is the FMIC, but we'll see.

Was just suprised to see a Mines chipped ECU on ebay for £150 squid considering we have all been told they are pretty much naff as they are locked down so cant be remapped. Didnt think anyone would want one.....

The base spec mines ecu is a good step up over the standard ecu, in my last GTSt I had a mines ecu, exhaust, boost controller set to 11psi and it made 242 ath.

if you want to go a bit further than that then a piggy back ecu can be used to good effect.

I have heard some rumors about prospec getting some mines mapping capability but since I no longer have that car I haven't followed it up.

I don't disagree at all.

if you happen to have a stage 1 mines though and can pick up a pigy back type ecu cheaply enough it *might* just cost you less than a new ecu and mapping.

while I had the mines ecu'd car the only way to get it remapped was to send it back to mines and tell them what mods where on the car at a cost of £500 +shipping and VAT!!

www.nengun.com

They do Power FC's with the hand controller for Approx £370 plus about £60-70 shipping from Japan....

I've had one in the on-line shopping cart for ages, but just can't bring myself to click the checkout button Not sure whether it would turn up or not

Matt at RL sort out Raz's Skyline with Power FC (has the grey coloured R34).

Think it does cost a lot to get them set up though.......So tempted....need to break the 200bhp barrier sometime

PS You and Paulupfax bringin your handbags on Sunday
