GTO nemisis, if your avatar is anything to go by, then 800bhp is very impressive, as is your claim to the uk's most powerfull GTO. and i congradulate you on that sir.
but i wonder what the UK's most powerfull skyline would put out...? i guess a lot more than 800?
do you know mark callister ? he is a very good friend of mine, and has a company called eurospec, and claims to have the UK's "fastest" GTO owned by ben.
how does that car compare to yours?
good luck anyway with the torque out.

just spoke to cally, and he says he has a bet of £300 with you over who has the UK's most powerfull car, the "eurospec" car is running 750+ bhp with 1.6 bar, and has a new ecu to allow it to rev up to 8,500 rpm, and with 2.2 bar, so he's hoping to overtake you quite considerbly.
dont forget that its not just about bhp, as you know its torque that pulls you along.
the eurospec car has also run 11.3 sec's at santapod, and is offically the fastest GTO in europe.
im not stiring things up mark, just mearly pointing out that there are other "claims" to the title of UK's most powerfull GTO .

again i wish you good luck, your car is a lot more powerfull than my skylines, put together.

david.

I know Ben the owner very well (He was even at my wedding). I have met Mark too, my opinion of him is not the best but he was totaly sh1t faced at the time

I will gladly take £300 of him. Ben's car will be at the rolling road shoot out.

The text under my Avatar was put there over a year ago. So far Ben's proven BHP is 600 and something BHP.
But if you ask Ben who's car will deliver the most BHP AND torque he will tell you that it will not be his, or at least that was his response when I spoke to him a few days ago.

Ben has DR800's on his car, to my knowledge they have yet to prove the 800HP that they claim in the US, even with their very odd AWHP maths!

My car is currently being rebuilt and I only got of the plane 48hrs ago from a trip to New York to collect my custom crank, Rod and pistons. My engine will have a considrable displacement over Ben's car too.
Add that to my turbo set up:

And you will see how two T34 equivilants will never deliver the power of my set up. I am also running a standalone ECU not a piggy back.

As for Ben's car holding the record 1/4 mile in Europe, well that is not true (Mind you I thought it was true up to last week when I stumbled over a car in poland) but he is certainly the quickest in the UK that GTOUK know about.
My car has never been built for a 1/4 mile, my car is built for a 200MPH+ run from a standing start over 1.25 mile (IE TOTB) Again, no GTO in the UK or Europe that I am aware of will touch me in this area.

The chap who holds the record for tuning the world most powerfull GTO will be doing the final set up on my car at the begining of May (the chap from NY that supplied my custom parts).

As for what the UK's most powerful Skyline would be, well lests just say it will be quite alot more than my GTO, but I would be money on me delivering more torque. Being number one in the GTO world isn't that hard, especialy in the UK. Eurospec are the ONLY GTO tuning company to deliver ANY results and for that I have great respect for them.
Me, I build my own stuff in my garage!

Will you be able to make the rolling road day?

Mark

On my old T35 set up I deliver way more torque than Ben at 1.1 BAR

Yes, thats right, numb nuts had the overboost cut back set lower than the boost target!

Anyway, not too bad for 24ish psi.

This is a video of some of the mods my car has gone through, it is followed up by the GT42RS' maiden voyage to see how it run at spring pressure boost and running very rich (AKA Safe!) before it went on the dyno.

I got some thoughts on this. 800bhp out of a GTO is an (expensive) achievement in itself, and for that I give the utmost respect! I nearly traded ny Skyline for one a while back but thought better of it due to a number of factors. Two things that bother me though:

1. Unless it's been on a serious diet GTO's are near 4 tonnes. I make that about 200 bhp per tonne on yours compared to a standard gtst's approximate 192 bhp per tonne.
2. The engine is really wedged tight in the engine bay, relatively simple procedures result in the engine coming out.

good point. that weight must affect your performance?

if its not too rude a question....how much have you spent on acheving all this power?
and is she reliable? / surely not a daily driver?
also was she created as a power/top speed car? or can she handle also?
i must admit, its one of the most radical ive ever seen.

I'm deadly serious about the 4000kg axle weight mate. That may help to explain the second part of your post.

yup its true, the engine is crammed with technology and it wieghs 4 tons.
It is an impressive and very underrated car though, but i wouldnt say there in anyway exciting. Still cant believe i insured my gto tt fully comp for £400.
If anything id say there boring as you dont really feel anything due to the sheer size of it. The skyline though, now thats what a call exciting...

When the boost kicks in it dosent half through you back in a gto, but because you get it all low down power it does die down later on in the revs..

Id have another but only if i was mega rich and could make a Carbon bodykit..
But im stickin with the skyline.....

but that is heavier than 2 skylines?

how do you make a car that heavy?

in that case the question "who has the most power" is a waste of time....power wont have much to do with being quicker....

Look at the pic of the engine mate.. Then theres the size of the car, The wheels are huge, suspension is massive. etc.. Theres too much technology in them that is what scared people of from buying it when it first came out... £45000 ???

yes but my friend has one of these cars and they cant even take a 2psi boost increase, everything about them is weak from the engine to the transmission.....or am i mistaken? (not taking the piss, just what i was told by a few tuners)
