    Great tool for games

I've just started using an excellent program called TouchBuddy that you guys should check out. It was originally designed for use with flight sim progs, so you could access extra buttons and functions, but it's being used by race simmers too, and can actually be used with any program at all, as it basically sends macros to whatever window is currently active.
You can custom make your own interface and buttons using the editor program that comes with it.
It runs on either a 2nd monitor locally, or you can run it over a network on another system, but it works best if you have a touchscreen monitor, and then you have yourself a handy virtual button box.

You can check it out here:

If you scroll to the right monitor on this screenshot, you can see the one I've made for rFactor:

Prog is free btw, so it's worth a try. Can be used with pretty much anything, first person shooters, graphics apps, etc. Anything that has either hotkeys or keypresses.

Can this be interfaced with a PDA? I know there was a program that did this on windows XP but it don't work on Vista.

Are you are just running twin monitors and using the mouse for the controls? I also noticed you have the sim adapter shortcut on your desk top, does this touch buddy interface with that as well?

Sorry for the blitz of questions

Ok been trying this out and I like it . For some reason, using TB on the secondary monitor does not cause rFactor to minimise like other apps. Would you be so kind as to send me that lovely profile you made mate? skinny@drivenbypassion.org

    Cheers

Yeah, mate. Saves me reaching over for the keyboard, and does the job untill I get a small touchscreen.

I was using that for another mod before that gave you a digital dashboard, but if you're using a sim adaptor compatible mod that uses internet explorer for it's display, say for timings or lap positions, you can integrate that. TouchBuddy has a built in plugin to display an IE control inside it's window.

I'll get you a copy of my profile at some point. Still playing with it and making sure all my macros are set right. May change a few buttons on it too.
