The sheer stupidity of nursery's!

Well today the Mrs dropped our 3 year old Barrie off at nursery 1pm the usual time and she headed back home.

Now its 4pm time to pick the wee lad up who usually goes mad as he loves it there

Well today was different the wife goes to collect him as per and she bursts into tears when she see's him, his face is covered in blood, he has 2 black eyes and a big swollen nose.

He apparently fell over whilst playing outside!

She immediately takes him to yorkhill hospital where they find he has a broken nose, he's 3 for fu*k sake.

The nursery has told her it happened at 2pm so they left him for 2 hours, why the f*ck did they not phone her or even get a doctor to look at him???

I have a very short temper at the best of times but my baby being hurt makes me snap instantly, my Mrs has already told the nursery manager he is very lucky I am offshore and will have calmed down a bit by the time I get home because if I was at home id be bashing his head off a bloody brick wall.

Still i wont be letting this lie and will go about it the correct way by formal complaint etc.

I just find this absolutely shocking and hope his nose will grow back into shape.

bloody hell that is not good news. my mrs works in a nursery and they are extremely careful and 90% of the staff are first aid trained.

i would not go back to that place. and i would take further action as 2 hours being like that is unacceptable!!!

shocking - if that happended at a school they would have phoned an ambulance and the rest within a minute

I'd report them to the local council or whoever governs these places as thats negligence

It is disgusting and in my eyes a form of child abuse, Ive started to calm down a bit now but i still cant think off why they never called emergency services, the wife is going to send me a photo so I can see my wee lads face.

Not sure if thats good or bad tho as it will more than likely upset me and make me really angry again.

Even had my old man e-mailing me telling me to calm down as he knows what im like when it comes to my son. If im honest i feel kind off embarrassed now about the way i reacted but who wouldnt have done the same?

I leave the rig on Friday and it cant come quick enough i just want home now!

2 hours is unacceptable! The poor kid couldn't exactly call for help himself! WTF!

Mate I know it's difficult to stay calm, honestly I'm getting riled up just reading about what happened - but you need the details first, and a plan on how to approach this. On the upside, at least your son got some proper care now.

Poor kid...

Jesus, I'd expect them to have contacted the parents immediately if it was as bad as you say! Do they not keep an eye on them while they're playing anyway? I'm forever running around after my lad making sure he doesn't jump off the side of a slide or whatever, don't they keep an eye on the kids in their care? If it were me, I'd be wanting to go and break all their noses for their neglect, but then knowing the government I'd get locked up and their neglect brushed over...

Stuart if i was at home i would have prob went up there without thinking then regretted my actions later.

I will be making a point off "talking" to them when i get back. Once i get a photo ill post it up in here. The wife says he is a mess
