We had this done when I used to live at my parent's house. It's supposed to be anti-skid isn't it?

Takes a fair while for it to get compacted so that there's no stones flying around. Enjoy doing 12 mph anyway

That's been pretty badly done, and it's hardly 'New life for your road'...it's usually just to make a bad surface last a bit longer so they don't have to spend any real money fixing it.

Don't get me started on crumbling roads. The A52 between Nottingham and Derby is losing huge slabs of its top surface and what have they done to fix it..put up some yellow 50 signs. Been like this since the winter now. Having just spent a week on France's superb roads ours are like cart tracks in comparison.

I dont understand how they can get away with this, surely they know it damages cars... perhaps they havent had enough claims yet?

Get one put in for the stone chips you already have on your bonnet and scratches up your wings/doors from the stones!

That looks like a temp road. There is no way they can dig up and fully relay a road in a day.

They did the same in my street...it's only taking them 10month and counting, plus they added some speedbumps on a sloped strech of road so now I can't even reach my house anymore

The council do that to all the roads round here, and have the fecking cheek to put signs up saying they are re-surfacing! Except the main roads with Olympic lanes, they get a proper tarmac top surface.
Damn cheap skate authorities, spending our taxes on biscuits and plasma tv's instead!
