False Advertising

Ok so having a real knightmare with exhausts atm after companies seem to be seriously falsely advertising them for the R33's.

Most of them say that they will fit both GTS-T and GTR. But in reality they will only fit the GTS-T.

There is a noticable diference in some brands that look like they'l fit but definatly wont.

First one i had that wouldnt fit was my Blitz nur-spec, so sold it on.
Second is the Toyosport i just bought, which i will have to sell on as it also wont fit.
Third is the Japspeed one, this doesnt fit either.

All 3 of those WILL NOT fit a GTR. I know that Blitz do also have a specific GTR version even tho the GTS-T version is listed as fitting both.
They all foul on the rear anti roll bar and there is no way around it.

So after a rubbish day out in the cold, ive managed to get the japspeed one fitted but its litterally touching the rear anti roll bar so going to have to try and put some kind of rubber around it so it doesnt vibrate.

Back in the warm now but hacker right off cos i just want my car running

Seriously mate do what I said and massage the brackets so it moves slightly I done this with joes nur spec one I think he has and it's fine.

I can understand your frustration but the v-specs are rarer so the majority don't have the extra roll bar so just massage the bracket

The toyo one wont fit regardless of adjusting the brackets tho steve, its litterally 4-5 inchs out.

The japspeed one could have the rear brackets bent up a little to lower the backbox a little but then it will look silly.

I'll make do for now with the japspeed for now and just get the pipework customised to fit at some point.

Mines not a v spec either steve, just a spec 1 gtr. I assumed the rear anti roll bar was standard on all gtr's

Surely they would or should have tested them before stating they will fit a gtr if that is not the case should refund you?
You dont have uprated anti roll bar do you or is it that far out that wouldn't make a difference?

Re: False Advertising

I had a toyosport system on my cupra and it was just the same and they wouldn't refund me so had to cut the center section out to bend it to fit and then weld it together! Suprised the blitz or japspeed ones weren't just a straight fit on your gtr tho.

If yours is a non spec v gtr it shouldn't foul the anti roll bar unless the front sections of exhausts need juggled with but v spec gtrs have an additional anti roll bar that does foul the exhaust but like I say juggleing the full system about and slight bending of brackets allow it to fit fine, can you send me a pic please since the additional anti roll bar can be retrofitted to any 33 literally

I'll get a pic tomorrow steve, got the japspeed fitted after bending the rear brackets to lower the pipe away from the anti roll bar.

Just really winds me up that ive had to play with it in the first place as its supposed to be a direct fit

Yes mate I agree there but did you unbolt the rest of the system slightly to allow full movemdnt so u could tweak the system?Sometimes you need to do that to fit exhausts

Just to add I fitted a Blitz Nur Spec to my R33GTR which was originally from a GTSt, just needed a very mall tweak with a cable tie
