ignorant traders

what really get on my t*ts is when you post in the traders section and they ignore you for days/weeks while in the meantime continue to post threads as if you was not there! but whats even more annoying is when you put a comment regarding that,.. mods delete it! threads about traders communications and qualities of products should not be deleted IMHO, yeah maybe this will be damaging to their business but they would become more conscious of quality and have better communications to there customers. there are several traders on here that sell absolute rubbish, and when people churp up about these issues their threads get deleted ready for the next person to fall straight i to the same predicaments. i think some new rules should be put into place for trader/consumer purchases!

I tried to contact a trader on here multiple times via pm and posting in their section and they just completely ignored me.

Obviously not that interested in making money.

Right lets get this straight.... although the moderation team can edit/delete posts in the traders section, we hardly ever do unless there is a real kick off, its basically up to the traders to deal with their own respective section, so if you seeing post edited or disappearing its 99% of the time down to the traders themselves, so if your not happy about a particular trader either send them an email so they are obliged to reply, and/or contact a mod or admin and we can look into it.

You will never change this, simple answer is to NOT post in their section.

They pay to post here, normal users do not, that's all it comes down to, without them the forum WOULDN'T exist.

If you want to post about a trader, post it in the Do you know what really grinds my gears section. They have no power there unless they involve the admin team.

The only way this will ever change is if the site becomes subscription based.... Do you want to pay?

Sent whilst not in front of my PC, my how times have changed. I now have a galaxy in my pocket.

to be honest i think i would pay for a subscription price dependent! if that means issues stated above would stop..and as far as sending emails, i have sent loads over the last few weeks to one particular trader...no replies. now i'm obligated to go elsewhere for my purchases. i have seen several threads been deleted because of kicking off. i can see why they kick off..people getting frustrated
i posted a snotty remark a couple of days ago after the trader still chose to ignore my pm's emails and post on their threads. rather then replying to any of them..they just deleted it!

i understand and in future i wont post in the trader section, like you say i will post in this section! however just recently there has been some very poor quality stuff from a few traders and people should be made aware of it! so maybe there should be a new forum section..like a poor quality section or something. maybe this would convince traders to be more strict on their quality control!

Not to be contrary but has anyone thought about the traders perspective and how many customers they may be hadling daily ... I would say the 100% of the traders ive worked with on here have provided me with an excellent service ... but then I dont generally post requests I pick uo the phone and talk to them

I must admit that if I am not buying via ebay I always prefer to talk direct to a trader, it gives a better impression of how things are handled etc.
Going back to the other scenario, to me it seems ludicrous for a trader to pay to advertise/ply his trade here and not respond positively to prospective customers, as if you don't get a sensible response you look elsewhere, so if that the case the traders are just shooting themselves in the foot.

Personally I tend to look for the most competitive price, then phone the seller and take it from there, if the response is not to my liking I go elsewhere, good prices and good business practice attracts customer loyalty, in the current climate not doing your best for customers is tantamount to business suicide as there is always another to take your place.

I think hr mans that all parts suppliers to a specialist global market are under a great deal of presure to provide not only products but manage supply chain inventory and support customers with some extreemly specialist knowledge and deserve respect and support ... as stated if you call them you will see how much all our suppliers care about what you need.

Sorry if thats not whay you meant there chap

sorry buddy but i don't really agree with that..some traders on here just want to make dosh and don't care about quality of goods. i have personally received a carbon blade from a trader off here a year or so ago with a hole drilled in the center of it..when i phoned the trader all i was told is that i did it..i was very angry and after various calls and posts on here eventually the trader supplied me with a new one which was also damaged! tell me how can we give traders respect and support when they do things like that buddy!....third time after several calls and threats i received 100% quality item. if i was a trader i would have personally checked the second shipment, wouldn't you?
as i said i think there should be a bad/poor quality thread/section for non traders like us to post pictures and problems with goods and traders. this would only encourage better quality goods and services!

oh and and to your last statement about them caring...they are very much caring when you are buying, as soon as you ring up to complain its another ball game as i'm sure a lot of people would also agree!
