plastic printing

Hi all

Just read this thread: and I thought Ide post about plastic printing.

I dont know how ppl on here get there moulds done but with companies like you can design it using a 3d modelling program, convert it to their format and upload it. Its then checked and if its printable its printed and shipped to you at least thats how i understand it!

We've got a 3D plastic printer in our lab here at work (obviously I'm not at work now since I'm here on! Errr........).

Very handy for making prototypes and moulds with pretty advanced shapes. Having that sort of service commercially available to anyone must be a dream come true for a lot of designers, especially industrial designers.
Two minutes in heaven is better than one minute in heaven! With me you only need two minutes, 'cause I'm so intense....

For those of you that think all thats too expensive and want a DIY version...
