I've always been sceptical of these raffles, whats to stop the organisers "mate" from being the lucky winner?

[edit] Screw it, took a punt.

Not only that, there is also a required amount of tickets to be sold before its worth holding the raffle, so what happens if there are not enough sold..do they track down every ticket holder and give back the money? or do you have to wait three years until they sell enough tickets?

As Chris says above, its all pretty clearly stated on his website which is why I changed my tune and bought a ticket in the end. If he doesn't reach the total the will raffle will be for the money collected so far instead of the car.

If for some reason the 2000 tickets isn't hit the money in the pot form the sales will become the prize.
im not in this to scam people out of there hard earned money.
plus my address is on the Facebook so why would I scam people and risk getting my head caved in ?

Just found this post after being told by someone on the gtr oc.

We're coming up to 700 tickets so going well.
I think alot of people are dubious which is fair enough, but what I will say is.
I'm an honest bloke, my address Is on the Facebook page so I'm not in this to scam people.
I'm not making a profit from this after promotions £1k+, advertisment fees £4k, solicitors fees£1.1k, website fees+ domain name £1k and transactions fees £2k, I'm literally getting what the car is worth and it's alot of work to do this.
It's not a business idea, it's a one off and I doubt many people will put there R34 GTR up for grabs agian.

I'm not going to stress over convincing people to buy a ticket, it will happen one way or another.

I hope this post stays up as there is a certain member of the skyline owners Facebook page moderator team, who seems dead set against this even though I'm purely doing this as nice thing for enthusiast's.

good luck if you do enter

First off let me point out that at no time did I say that it was a scam!
I merely raised the question about what happens to the money should the required amount is not met...pretty fair comment is it not?

Secondly, I would like to point out that the moderators here and the moderators on the facebook page are not the same and this forum has nothing whatsoever to do with the facebook page, regardless of what they think they are they are not the Skyline Owners.com! so please don't not associate this forum with them.

I didn't aim my post at you I was writing it as a broad message as I've been inundated with abusive emails and posts since starting this.
Alot of people write a post without even visiting the website to see how it works.

I know the two forums are not connected hence I why I stated the "Facebook page".
I was pointing out why I cannot post on there and didn't want the same to happen on this page, the gtroc mods cleared it with me prior to posting, but I'm not really a active member on here so I didn't want to just start posting all of a sudden.

I have no problem with what you're doing, however, I should by rights remove your posts on the grounds that its self-advertising and technically selling......but for now it can stand minus the link, should it degrade into any wrangling etc it will be removed.

That's fine by me
I didn't intend to post on here but I'd prefer to defend what I'm doing if needed.

If it's alright with you I'll post up a few pictures of the car on this thread and all I will do is reply to people I won't be posting otherwise.

Sorry this is my fault that it's on here.
But I only wanted to spread the word about the GTR as for most of us it's a dream car.
