A mechanic that doesnt charge skyline rates!!

How do guys does anyone know someone in north wales that will extract some snapped manifold studs from my r32 gtst that will not start filling me full of bull e.g. The manifolds warp and pull the studs out of the head meaning new manifold and or head work!! (one of MVS's mechanics said that!)

I'm sick of speaking to guys and they see its a skyline and they start upping the hourly rate!!

dont mention tim barks or MVS lol i know people have had good experiances with him but i know too many people who MVS have tried to get them to have work done that wasn't needed.

Anyone wanna earn some beer tokens

Shame you're not in the south hun, as am sure Buffy would help you out and he doesnt charge skyline tax on work done.

Hope you find someone.

yeah when you mention the dreaded word "skyline" to any mechanic, signs come to theyre mind.even for the older models like r32s and r33s,theyre basic motors, what makes them diffrent from doing work from any other basic run of the mill car.

i would help you out mate but am up in scotland lol but there is a good chance your manifold may be warped as i snapped a stud in mine and in the 250 miles to get home and change the studs it warped mine badly

I think its been blowing for a while so i might get a stainless one (i know it will crack eventually but its shiny )

I might just remove everything and get a mobile mechanic to extract them saves him having to spend 6 hours at 90 p/h removing the "special skyline parts" before even getting to removing the studs lol. i need to sart getting my hands dirty again

Wasn't "Barness Exhausts" in Pentraeth per-chance? They do custom jobbies I believe

I'm not far from Pentraeth ;)

let me have a word with my mate, he charges 15 p/hr & is a $hit hot mechanic (used to work for Slaters & 30 odd years experience), he does small jobs on mine, but for technocal/specialised stuff I always go to Rod Bell (RB Motorsport). By the way is the car under cover or can you get it to Mold?
