Type it into Japanese cars online catalogs under the Nissan parts search section and it will tell you the production date, original paint color and model type.

Hello im waiting to get my skyline into the us, I need a copy of the made on date, as in the date it was manufactured and I cannot get a copy for the life of me, lol, I have the chassis code but I dont know if what I have decoded will work for customs to allow it into the usa. I see you have access to Nissan fast is that something that can help me out lol? any help would be great, my chassis code is HCR32-067311 , from what I got was genral info and that I beleave the date was july of 1990, but do I need more then just some random print out? also the car seems to not have a normal long vin number, just this. Any ideas on that thanks

Sorry for the slow reply. I will run the chasis code when I get home from work.

To address your post: Customs needs the manufacture date. Nissan FAST will tell you this. There are other (mostly) reliable websites than can too.

They can also allow the car to enter U.S. soil based on the car's first registration date on the Export Certificate (I hope you have one). The export cert also needs to be translated.

Your best bet is to call the port your car is arriving in, speak to cbp, as for the document verifications officer and the entry specialist. They are the ones that decide if your car is legit.

Your Type M was manufactured in July 1990 according to FAST.
