Rb20det head

Hey guys I just pulled my head and found out the valves were bent. I have a new head and want to know if the head bolts are torque to yield. And how to torque them.

Its never a good idea to reuse head bolts man. I would suggest getting aftermarket studs.

Head studs are head studs, guy. But if you don't believe me, do a Google search for "RB26DETT factory service manual" to get the exact miniscule torque figure.

yes i do know that i have been in the trade for 25 odd years with hundreds of heads done and what i do know for sure is you DO NOT torque standard headbolts to aftermarket setting headbolts.

only an idiot with no sense would do that

Well shit, guy, you work on so many heads then how much variance is there in the miniscule torque specs between factory and standard?
