10w/40 semi synthetic will fine and is what i use, also castrol recommend 10w/40too,they take around 4.3 ltrs with a filter change, bung 4.0 ltrs in then just top it up to the dipstick mark...

no reply guess ill stick with 10w-40 castoral...i just thought 15w-40 might have been better at 127,000 miles on a standard 2.0 non turbo engine

No difference between 10w-40 and 15w-40 in terms of how well it will look after your engine except at startup.

The 15w and the 10w just refers to how thick the oil is when cold.

Once warmed up both oils are the same viscosity... i.e. look after your engine just as well.

Nissan specified 7.5w-30, so a 40 weight oil is better for a hard pressed engine with a few miles on the clock ;)
