Depends on your engine mods. Iridium plugs are great. Oil I use 5w 40 in my gtst for you I would recommend the same as it's a all round good oil however it is all dependent on mods and what you use the car for.

its just standard bud..

just got an after market exhaust and decatted....in future probably be adding a gtst airbox and k&n panel filter for better airflow and maybe a fuel pressure adjuster valve to eliminate flat spots but thats all as its only a 2.0na

As far as oil goes, 10w 40 should be all good as long as the mileage isn't sky high...
Just refit standard plugs... NGK BCPR5ES-11
I think that's the plug the 20E uses, someone will correct me if it's not. Don't adjust the heat range or gap (there is no need).

The only differences between that plug and Iridiums are -
Iridiums are designed as long life plugs (typically used on engines where spark plugs are very hard to get to)
..and cost. The standard plug is a copper plug and are much, much cheaper than iridiums.
Obviously, they don't last as long as Iridiums.

There is zero performance gain between either.

Personally, I have always used the copper plugs in my RBs

What you go for may simply depend on how much spare cash you have to do this service

Well in that case, stick with the same oil as you used last time If you start to notice smoke it might be time to use a slightly thicker oil, but your engine sounds like it's in top shape!

We use metric here so I understood the 202kms (even though I can roughly convert to miles in my head), but that's not too high on a well maintained RB.

5w40 every 6 months or 6,000miles will be good. Castrol is a great brand of oil always used it and is good. However if 10w40 has worked so well in the past then stick with it.

As BM has said use the standard plugs as they are just as good.

Have you changed your gearbox and diff oils??? Recommended at 100 000 miles a change.

right oil is low and black, it is now on 128k miles, yes miles ..not km....

iv only had it a year so only changed only oil on it just once, i used 10-40 castoral gtx,,,dont know what the previous owner used, but i noticed engine is slightly more tickier now and mileage is high now

is any oil recommended for my rb20e instead of the castoral gtx 10-40????? as few people said i need to use thicker oil, like what thoug??? basically whats the best for my standard 2.0na engine?

Gets some Castrol 5W40 5 lites will be plenty. The edge stuff is really good. If youb are still not sure which oil you want then give Opi oils a ring and they will sort you out.

Milage is generally not a problem as long as the engine has been serviced well and maintained.

Edge is very good. This is what i would recommend. Magnetec and GTX is also ok but would recommend Edge more plus its a great fully synthetic oil.

15w40 is a defo NO NO as this will be very bad for your engine.

Castrol edge 5w40 as it is think enough and thin enough too allow all parts to be lubricated as well as no too thin when warm.
