3" exhaust piping opinion

Thinking I might of made a mistake in the size of the exhaust i got in my NA.

Right now it's as loud as a train, got a silencer on order for now.

I've heard good things, and bad things about 3 inch straight pipes on a non turbo.

i don't want to hit the throttle anywhere really cause it's so loud to see if i notice any gains, at least until i quiet it down.

should i just take it off, find a smaller catback? silencer/resonator and keep it?

rule of thumb on a non torbo is aproximately 2.75 inch diameter pipe the three inch is just too darn loud and your midrange will be pants
