R33 GTR Transmission help!!

Alright, this weekend I was out....um....."showing" my car to a couple of tuner wanna-be guys. Ok, Ok, I found a spot that they were all parked at and made a run past them...LOL.

Any ways, I get to third gear and decide to lay off it. Step on the clutch and...nothing. I pulled over and looked under the car but didnt see anything. So I got it home the only way possible....put it in first and start it there. Drove home that way....long drive.

The next day I went out with some people from work and put it on a lift. After looking at it we noticed that part of the internals of the tranny was broken. I dont know how to describe it. I took some (crappy) pics with my phone which I will post later if anyones interested.

My question is: Where can I get a diagramed breakdown of the tranny so I can figure out what I need to order to make it operational again?

Thanks for the help.....

Uh, doesn't sound too good Don!

So what is it exactly doing (or shall I say not doing?) now?

Upload those pics man so we can have a look.

You looking for someone to take your tranny apart, strip it, check and tell you what needs be changed? If so, I might know someone.

If you know someone that will do it and not want to rape me on the price, then yes, please let me know. If not, I'll be doing the work myself.

Pics will be posted when I remember where I put them.....

Here is a quick verbal on what happened:

We took the car and put it on the lift. Here's what I saw. The cable that runs from the peddle comes out under the car. It pushes on a Y shaped lever that is attached to a metal rod that has a ball on the end of it. The "ball" is in a pressure fitting on the Y. Well, the "ball" part broke off the Y, this means I cant activate the clutch. Ok, deactivate, if I put it in gear and start it I can drive in first but since I cant use the clutch, I cant shift...made for a long drive home.

I hope this is enough to at least give some idea of what I saw. I dont know exactly what all its going to entail after I get it tore apart but I hope it isnt too much more....or too much trouble to fix..

Anyways, anyone want to help fix it or got any ideas for me please let me know.

Like I said, once I find the pics again, I'll post them.

Time line on fixing it will be about 3 weeks. I'm headed to the states for a couple of weeks and plan on doing it when I get back, assuming that I can find the part or parts I need by then....

Don, if you give Thomas at GT-Racefactory a call, Im sure hell be able to sort this for you and for a fair price too.

Your gearbox will most likely be fine Id say. You just need to replace the broken part to be able to use the clutch again.

At least thats what it looks like...

I kinda figured it just needed replacing. Do me a favor and PM me Toms number sometime. And I think the gear box is still good too.

davew: Thanks, but I'm trying to not spend that much on it...LOL.
