Smile Nissan Skyline GTT 34

Hi dear skyline lovers, im looking to buy a nissan skyline GTT 34 from germany, i would love to see some links from some1 you know its selling one. A question i would like to ask : is it better GTT (rear traction) for drifting than GTR 34 4wd? ive read a lot of forums regarding whether to use a skyline or any other car with rear traction for drifting and not 4wd, i would like to see some opinions from skyline owners too( experienced owners in the matter of drifting) thank you!

If you can afford it get the gtr... You can lock out the 4 wheel drive to make it rwd and when your not drifting change it back to 4 wd ..... That's just my opinion.... As far as getting one in Germany I would check out autoscout24.de or mobile.de...

RXXXIV has a gtt so he has more info on it though. He'll prolly get on here in a little bit or you can pm him. He's very helpful and knowledgeable

If you lock out 4wd on a GTR only via fuse removal you lose ABS as well but it works. Grid dancer might be an option to set traction electronical as you like.

Oh i know he doesnt drift..was just saying he knows more about 34's than I do. Im not a big drifting fan either (hence the GTR). just figured he knows whats what with the car.

You got any info on getting a skyline in germany? got a friend thats lookin to buy a 32 gtr

If you intend to use the car for drifting there is no doubt you should go for GTST/GTT not GTR. Yes you can install a torque controlling device to the GTR and make it RWD by that. However if you wanna use it for drifting there is no point in doing so as you will buy a car with 4WD system and all the weight that is related to it without using it. You donīt want your drift car to be unnecessarily heavy. Also a GTR is more expensive regarding maintaining it and start price is much higher too compared to GTST/GTT.

Locking out the 4WD by just pulling the fuse is not recommended at all. Especially not when doing power runs on 2WD dynos as you will overheat and destroy the system on R33 and R34 by doing that.

And yes I am using my Skylines for track driving not for drifting. I do the occasional drift sometimes if I feel like and also the ones related to track driving and back end stepping out but no non-stop-drifting or anything.

I recommend removing the HICAS system on any Skyline if you wanna go into drifting. Ideally by using a full lockout kit like the Conceptua one not just a Hicas bar.
