nissan wins again!

I took my skyline to nissan to get 3 lifters replaced.... they found 3 lifters stuck a rod bent and 3 spun barrings... so i got a new engine... the finally installed the new rb25det and went for a few test drives.... called me later only to tell me they blew this motor also... WTF!!!!! my boost is at 79 on low... and 85 on high... how did they muff this up?

So wait...they blew the engine? are they coming up with another or what? do they know the bottom of that other one was fully forged? and what do you mean by 79 and 85? I think I might be a little dense right now but this sounds like it sucks man...

hope you get it figured out...

Im not 100% sure I will talk to Shawn again to see what all he had done to that engine. I know he dumped $8K into it so it was buit fairly strong I would say...If they used the same boost pressures on a stock engine I would assume they are going to have the same issues over and over. I will let you know once I find out though.

what PSI is your BC set to in HIgh and low?

He works weird hours and I wasnt able to get ahold of him either...I will tell him though.

Those settings sound more like bar settings....hmmmm.. they arent very high though. so if thats what theyre set to they shouldnt have issues.

they are having a laugh. if they did blow the engine and won't replace or fix free of charge call your lawyer.

let me see if i did get that right!!

u did take your car to a workshop in germany to repair the engine?

they have intalled a other engine (were this "new" engine came from?), and during the test drive they blew up the "new" engine.right?

and know they want you to pay same labor work?

did i understand it right??

if so, u say the workshop that u will call a lawyer, if they dont repair it free off charge.

this is germany and things dont work that way arround here, and the workshop knows that.they are just trying how to see how far they can cheat you.

dont let this guys get away with it.

edit: if the engine was brand new , the workshop has to replace it with a new one, not rebuild the brocken one.

yep totally agree you put your car in for repair they are liable for the car in there possession and any damage they do should come out of there pocket. they blew the new engine they replace at there cost not your's. similar thing happened to my friend he put his car into the garage to get brakes done on his rx8 the garage took it out to test but didnt pump the brakes first, rear ended someones car an gave him his car back damaged they accepted liabilty but still hit him with full bill for the work it went in for an also messed him around on the damage they caused it finally got sorted when his lawyer got involved that was arnold clark a big firm in scotland

Graf's JAG office is pretty squared away, they should be able to hook you up. Let me know through PM who you spoke to and what they said so I can relay it around our area.

I dont know the laws over here but what would be fair is the price of one engine and one installation..their incompetence shouldnt result in you owing them money...If you want I can call them for you or something..I speak german..Ill let you know when Im home...
