Problems starting update

hi
if u read the previous thread my car has been struggling to start since Wednesday but does always end up starting. took to a diagnostic center but they could not connect to the ecu. this place does a lot of work on jap cars and he tried 3 diagnostics one with obd. when disconnecting the battery there was about an inch of water under the ipdm box caused by leaves blocking the drainage hole. not sure if this water has caused the problem as the problems started after the downpours of Tuesday night. so the slip vdc off and engine light still on. car still starts but with a bit of effort. of intrest when looking for the ecu we found a Japanese flare
cheers

That is a known problem, water getting into the PDM and IPDM, and sometimes the ECU as it sits under the IPDM.

Datascan software should be able to diagnose the fault codes.

Most decent garages that deal with Japanese cars should be able to scan for fault codes, but they do need a reader that can deal with JOBD.
