Lightbulb Over 18s section

Well, this comes from some of the cleaning up that happens on here.

Most of the content of this forum is family orientated but generally most of us are over 18 so can we have an over 18's play forum where the content may be a little more racey, suggestive and generally what is classed as pub talk?

VBulletin have a mod for age restriction access or could be on a request for access basis. It would allow for Forum games such as the Hit & Miss or Q & A to be played and have some questionable content that would otherwise be frowned upon. Plus, some of the links and pictures that people put up are generally acceptable for adult content but get kicked down for this being a family based forum as a whole so they could be moved in to the over 18s section and people can still have a laugh without the worry.

I'd suggest it as a subforum of the lounge ;) Maybe call it "The Bar"

I second that! Some of this stuff that been removed (with good intention of course) I have found funny as hell. An over 18's sec would allow for the slightly more racey threads, that people who were not into smuttyness could keep out of as well.

im with mark on this, no need for it on a car club forum, theres other sites for that, but it would come in handy if used correctly and not OTT

This idea has been discussed before, it was decided that it was not appropriate for a car forum I believe.

I wasn't referring to putting porn in there, just anything which would be a definite no-no for minors. It's great playing the forum games and such on here with like minded people, but just having one forum out of 200 where we can literally post a rant or something deviant but that's hellish funny would be really nice.

if i am honest i agree with the idea that this is a car forum, although double standards may arise here as the morning thread caused some debate as to why it was or wasnt relevant to a car forum, some anti morning thread ( me ) thought it didnt have a place as it was basically shite, totally un car related, to which i was burned, so by that rationale a similar ruling would be in place for such un car related threads on here even though i disagree

Personnally if its skyline related even vaguely then fine, but if its shite which goes out of hand, ( admitted i posted it but i knew it would get out of hand u could tell ) then it doesnt need to be on here, plenty of other forums for that plus all that bebo / twatter / pusbook stuff.

I think there is an accepted level of sexual inuendos on the forum the gay keith thing, the F1 carbon cock thing, but to bring up basic shite on a regular basis will drive skyline owners away, i know of many owners and long standing members who dont frequent this site anywhere near as much as before, harking back to the pre-wag and pre morning threads in particular, but if we continue to post up threads where it could lead into bother then its not a good route to lead.

I am guilty of posting up random threads such as "weed for sale" or "my night in Keith", but i will attempt to cut back on these even though they tend to recieve warm but slightly confused welcomes.

anyway i agree with jojo on the thread deletion in question and i dont agree to a over 18s only, there are plenty other places to talk dirty on.

p.s i still have some weed for sale going cheap.

I'd just like to point out that there are already non-car related sections of this forum...
