Just skimming through the FAQ's and found this post:

Noticed he said it didn't work right on the last post. Looking at his schematic,
I can see why.

- The diodes added to the original wires are now cutting power (diagram shows that the return path is blocked by a diode.

- The same applies to the spliced feed.

- The unit diagram would power the unit constantly - which could flatten the battery!

- A working method would be to use a DPDT relay and a SPST switch:

Find which pin needs 12v to open, and make sure thats on the switched live pin.
