^I just bought a set of these HID R33 Conversion lamps with lamps rated at 5000k (I wanted to steer away from the blue hue that the higher K-rating put out..

I am thinking of using the above 55W kit for full beam ...and am contemplating getting the 35w version for my dipped beam..
:attention:
I cant help but wonder if anyone else has used 2 kits like this ?? - Martin.

hid's take a while to heat up, you're better to go for a bi-xenon projector, otherwise you'l have a few seconds of pitch black switching between the two bulbs while they heat up (main beam turns off when flashing on r33)

bi-xenons simply remove the cut off on the existing bulb to provide fullbeam
Depends on the bulb type, some kits have a single bulb that changes position via a relay.

Would you happen to have a LINK to a set of bi-xenon projectors meant for use with an R33 ??

Is there much difference between the HID lamps in my pic (above) and said projector xenon lamps ??

Have I made a bad move by buying the above HID kit already ??

What would you say's the best route to take for 5000k low beam and 5000k High-Beam upgraded bright lights on my R33 ? - Martin.

How would I be able to tell if the kit I bought are able to change vial relay or not ? - Martin.
Bi-Xenons have a little solenoid that flips a cover away to give you main beam I have a set of Bi-Xenon projectors fitted to my car I done them a few months ago now and love the look of them and the light they give off :)

I bought 2 x 2.5" motorbike kits and custom fitted them to my headlights, there should be photos near the end of my project thread or even on my Project Facebook page if you want to have wee look.

How hard was it to modify the head-lights or kit to make the Bi-Xenon lamps to fit? are they available in different Kelvin ratings ?? - Martin.

My mains stay on when I flash or put full beam on......4 lights :D
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=227

that's the kit i bought

buying HID bulbs and fitting them into a halogen headlight is going to piss off everyone that is driving the opposite way to you and fail your MOT m8, send them back and do it properly ;)
That's similar to the kit I got and it was simple to do nothing hard about it at all, they do both low beam and high beam but I also have my normal high beam so have 4 lights on high beam :)

I had to make sure the kit was for RHD ;)

And mine just flew through its MOT with a small amount of adjustment on the lights to bring them back into alignment after pulling them apart....lol

Mine flew through MOT with 4 HIDs.

Might be simple to install but bloody expensive.

It should of failed with HIDs fitted!

Projectors are not expensive mine cost me under £100 to do all in :)

Maybe that was just a lucky day then.
Expensive compared to HIDs though.

Not expensive just a bit more, and they are legal where as HIDs on a car without projectors is illegal.
