Just got round to taking pictures of my front Jdm callipers in particular the piece of sprung metal that sticks out from the slider section.

My only guess is it looks like it could house & retain some kind of cable.

It's the same on both sides

They are actually wear indicators, they are meant to contact the disc when they are worn to certain degree, but someone has just bent them out of the way.

Oh I see thanks, I thought the wear indicators were on each pad.

Should I try and relocate or just leave alone everything is working fine as is.

Its possible that they are anti rattle springs, but they are also in the wrong position, its also possible they are for another Nissan model, unless you get a lot of pad rattle/noise I would leave them be.

Thanks for confirming, been like that since I bought the car and I'm not getting any rattle or noise so I will leave em alone.
