That's right folks, that little weasel has put a claim in to Paypal for a full refund(including postage and insurance costs) even though he has already been given a partial refund which was a considerable amount of money back for a bumper he returned to me damaged!

Thread is: missing for some reason? Will get it reinstated hopefully and link it here.

Luke Benham's Lies to PayPal said:
i purchesed a bumper from the user neil ********** vai a car forum he requested i pay him via paypal and made me pay via a gift. the item was described to me as needing to be painted but other wise in a good state with no damage.i was more than happy with this. however when the bumper arrived to me it was in a very bad state with 2 very big cracks in it as well as damge all over the bumper. i contacted neil as soon as i unpacked it via email. he requested photos of the parts i was not happy with witch i did. he then emailed to say that i could return for a full refund witch i was happy with,so i repacked it and arranged for a postal company to collect from my work and deliver back to him. everything was left as that until later that evening when he emailed me and demanded that the parcel be sent with insurance i didnt see why he could demand that but the parcel was covered anyway. he sent me a few abusive message in between me sending it and him receiving it but he told me he was a man of his word and would give me a full refund. however the day he got the bumper back he issued a refund but it was £50 short. i contacted him to ask why with no reply. eventually he got back to me and told me it was only a part refund because of the damge to the bumper. even though i received it like that and you could clearly see the damege had been there for a while and he had tried to do a DIY reapir on it witch was very bad. my problem is i sent him the photos of the damage and told him i wasnt happy with it and he offered me a full refund and i sent the goods back with the understanding i was getting a full refund. he never once informed me it would only be a part refund at all and i would have looked at my options before i sent it back had i known this. my issue i didnt know i couldnt open a case with paypal if i sent payment as a gift and he did know and he is gloating to other people on how he has set me up so that i have no protection from paypal.by the sounds of it he has set this up from the start knowing the bumper is damged and that i would have no way of claiming my money back. he offered a full refund to get me to send the bumper back under false pretencses'
£50 short on your refund really luke:

So if this is true why did you ask me the following in an email about your partial refund:

If you want to look at it that way then yeah fine there was 4 items. But doesn't change the fact that there was damage.
Why have you only refunded £105 rather than 135?
Yet now you are trying to claim that you have had no refund and are trying to get £156 out of me, after you have already been given £105 of your original £135 back. You are seriously going about this the wrong way, and you will end up in court if you carry on that is a promise.

I'm now going to post all of the emails to PayPal so they can see just what kind of a lying C**T you really are!

I can see your fustration, and if i was in your boots i would be fustrated.

Only thing i ask is dont start a thread thats gonna rift the whole forum mate, remember others read this :) perhaps this should of gone to a mod, or even BC himself.

Lance I am calm, but this is on here to show people what he is like and to make them aware of him and his tactics, I have emailed BC about it before I posted this, I'm just really, really angry with his behaviour and lies!

Telling them I made him pay as a gift, I gave him the option to pay fee's or as a gift and he took the gift option!

Well he has claimed some how, and my paypal balance is now in the red because of him.

He put a claim in at lunchtime today, I got an email about it when I logged on, so I have basically linked them to my partial refund transaction ID on Paypal, which shows the comments and I have also uploaded the entire email thread between us and all photo's.

Once the thread is reinstated I will add that to the case for PayPal too so they can see what exactly happened.

That's my next step, although I think it will fall under a civil matter?!
It does fall under both, you probably wouldn't get any money back going through the police, that would require the civil route.

The police should try to prosecute him for the offence though or a knock on the door might be enough to settle the dispute.

Your paypal statement should be enough evidence for them if it's clearly showing the transactions.

Thanks for the heads up Andy.

Would I need to go via his local police division or mine?

For £30 it's not worth it Ant.

Can't believe he is trying to pull a fast one through paypal to be honest! But all the info is there for them to see, so we will soon see what happens!

His returned one is still at the bodyshop, as I'm thinking of putting it on my motor now sop progress has stopped until I can take it over there and get it test fitted to see where needs work to "make it fit a spec 2" as it's a spec 1 bumper.

Sorry to hear this is still on going for you Niz. As Ant has said if one good thing comes out of this is that bodykits being couried is just too risky, unfortunately your the one paying the price.

Has anyone spoke to the guy? Surely it would be ridiculous to do this...and for less than a half tank worth of fuel in money? Maybe its been hacked. Maybe I'm just in disbelief. Sorry to hear about this either way. Good luck mate
