Well had my back pain quite a while again an its been getting worse in my legs lately, was speaking to my mrs' mum today and we think we figured out what it is, I think I have sciatica back and leg problems as it feels like a trapped nerve/ forced pain in back and I get a strong pulse in my leg when walking :/ looks like I may have to go doctors and this time demand them to do something about it other than painkillers. Anyone else had problems with sciatica nerve an had treatment, any advice on what to do would be great.

Thanks,

Rendle.

Same advice from me as last time you popped a thread up about health problems. Dont ask on an open forum Rendle. Speak to a Health professional (as a student nurse I don't count) See a GP, Orthopedic consultant or back care specialist nurse. If your unhappy about the treatment you are receiving from your GP then see a different GP, you are entitled to choose your GP and they are paid to treat you at the end of the day.

If you ask for advice on here then you will get all sorts of answers from well meaning people who do not have the necessary qualifications to give advice. To compound this you don't know what is actually wrong with you, so the last thing you need to to "treat" the wrong thing with the wrong thing, you could quickly do more damage.

^^^ agree I ended up paying for my mum to see a consultant at Bupa cause her local doc was **** - they quickly diagnosed the exact problem and she was on a NHS waiting list the same day

you shouldn't need to do that really. She can see a different GP if she had wanted to. What some people don't realise though is that a certain procedure has to be followed in the NHS... so sometimes people think "that poxy doctor isn't doing anything, justr giving me pain killers" thats because the doctor has to try things in a certain order... ortherwise costs would spiral

silly really but better than having to sell your house if you fall ill like in other countrys! lol

lol at my old forum name in your sig mind!
