im not impressed with motorscope was there other week £140 and all they ended up doing was regapping my plugs took 2hours for this to sort my hessitating prob and they couldnt understand why my car was rich at top end so i explaned that my high boost .7 was not kicking in which would proberbly explane why it was rich top end and they didnt seem to know this.so for £140notes i ended up with a print out and regapped iridium plugs to .5!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmm well dan and the other guys at motorscope to be fair are used to fords...they do want to get into the japanese stuff they tell me. we had a rolling road day there which went well......

but i gotta say i myself found em expensive .....but theyre the nearest 4wd rolling road to me hence the recomendation.

as for seting or reprograming the ecu...i think they just deal with superchips and stuff ...not in the same league as the other guys on here.

Future racing development are based in the boro, i think they can map power fc's but not sure if they are up to scratch or not. If you want the best then you are going to have to travel i'm afraid. Like has been said rb motorsport are the nearest to us here, personally i have just booked mine into rising sun performance for mapping

Corten Miller, Ben does all the mapping there and is spot on, Alot of people go to him around here, But I am guessing it would be a 2.5hr drive from Boro.

we have some travelling lads working for us from there and grimsby is 1.5hr apperantly then you would have to go another hour at least to get to Corten miller.

Yeah i've dealt with richard loads of times, i would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He was the only one of the so called "Big names"
to take an intrest in my rebuild project, and gave me a lot of advice.
Plus you can have a nice long play on the way back:)

talking about motorscope
i had my base power run there when the car was std it made 247hp
then a second run a few month later (stage 1mod) 305 hp
i went to weston performance on friday for a remap
the car made 346.6 hp
so just to compare i went back to motorscope on saturday and the car made 324hp

i no that all dyno's are different so i was not expecting it to be the same :)

i had trouble look for a tuner in the northeast aswell m8
but 3-5 hours of traveling is well worth it
i'n not bothered about what hp the car made i was just happy when i got the car back it drives like a new car its unreal very happy

so make surer u pick the right tuner and u'll be well happy no matter how far u travel
cheers lemsip

motorscopes dyno is one of the new type, it reads correct. Its not even possible to fool it by pumping the tyres up hard, common old trick with dynos.

Towser, can't belive they did that m8. Normaly there spot on. But the Jap stuff is new to them and the standard ecu can't be uk mapped.

Mapping on a dyno is no hard thing its the equipment and access to the ecu that is the hard bit.

Had my 33 on the rollers there and it did 308bhp.

No 2 dynos will ever read the same, you could go back to the same one the next week and get a different result. I think i will pop down to motorscope after mine is mapped just for comparison. Dan seems a good bloke and easy to deal with.
