Dont sell it!!! Keep it a while dont spend money on it and do everything in your means to get the money together to get the last bits done.

Same thing happened with my last car and the girlfriend sold it to pay for a holiday and then we split. So wish i never got rid off it. Mind i now own the car i do now but dont give up at the last hurdle mate.

Why dont you post up in wanted section what you need but say your strapped for cash to spend on the car and see what comes out from it?

Don't sell it mate - she'll see it as a sign of weakness! What has she given up?

Skylines cost less to run and need a bit less warming up before a thrashing ;)

surely this is a great opportunity to get some forum help and learn some skills that can save you even more cash in future rather than sell up when you are so close ? go for it!

The 26's have shims yes but the rb25's have hydraulic tappets, there are no shims that i know of.

It's just a case of fitting the cams, timing it up and away you go, 2hr job

Well we will see what he says but i doubt it if he has just bought a 2nd hand engine to get him going again.

This will be a crying shame, if he has sold it based on that advice, instead of asking on here 1st:(
