I'm having my cambelt done and all my v-belts done but was wondering if there is anyone near me that could do it . I don't want to take it to just anyone . I'd prefer someone who specialises in Jap cars . I was also wondering if its best to have the pulleys changed at the same time .

I've not long owned my skyline and have no record of when last the cambelt was done . So for piece of mind I'm having it done .

yes change all pulleys etc mate, there is a few tuners up that neck of the woods, ask GtstTypeM he has more knowledge of local garages....off the top of my head you have rb motorsport.....also i think perfect touch.....are up that way too.....

I read about rb performance in the Japanese Performance mag . I'll give them a call in the morning . At the moment I'm to scared to drag it in case something goes (cambelt) . So I'll need to have it done .

it makes sense to get it done mate, i change my oil every 3,000 miles coz i do give it a bit if stick the viscosity of the oil breaks down, and after some fierce drag runs it breaks it down quicker.....so its best to be safe.....keith...:rofl:

Wouldnt the belt go anyway if it was going to go regardless if you give it a tilt?

no, because it applies more pressure. the belts are quite easy to do, any garage can do them, it is after all just an engine, and the belts are so easy to get to because they are at front. you dont even have to take rad out if your carefull. 3 to 3 an half hours max!!
