Will RB26 camshafts slot nicely into an RB25 and if so has anyone done this?

Dont think it would work becasue off the VVT on the inlet side that the RB25 has, can't see what benefits you would gain either?

Been searching through some old threads but all i could really find was that someone said it would probably give you more low down torque but less top end power. Sound right?

yep i have an r32gtr exhaust cam in mine and it fits perfectley the only gain i have found was slightly more power off boost and a slightly aggresive kick when the boost came on.

The longer the Duration of a cam on the exhaust side it will make the car more laggy and come on boost later so make power later.

I'm not sure on the comparison of the GTR duration against the GTS cam.

On the inlet cam you really want the duration and lift as high as poss so more air gets in there.

I've kept to a std GTS exhaust cam and put a Tomei PON cam on the inlet so i make more power but have kept lag to a minimum.

I wouldn't go any lower duration on the exhaust cam as the GTS struggles to flow exhaust gasses as it is.

what about grinding the little lips from exhaust side, would you reccomend or advise against?

I wouldn't start grinding or playing around with anything.

Camshafts are precision engineered so going at them with a grinder wouldn't be the best idea.

sorry should have explained i meant grinding the lips from the exhaust side of the head
