Anyways the directions are go down to dover jump on a ferry, in france get on the E40 motorway and stay on it all the way to germany getting off the E40 onto the E31.

many thanks for all your kind responses and i'm sorry that it's taken a week for me to post this but my computer went 'tits up' last monday and i've only just got it back. It all looks easy enough. can i ask how long it will take from Calais and,roughly,how much it will cost in fuel?
I'm going on the weekend of the 27th-30th July to the Recaro Tuning Days.
My friend has a split screen volkswagen camper bus with a bi-turbo Porsche lump in it and 'sorted' suspension.It handles like a go cart and puts the fear of christ into Ferrari's etc!!! I'm going to have a go in it and,to finalise the deal on my new toy!!

There and back with 5 laps included i used roughly 5 tanks of fuel, it should take about 4 1/2 hours.
