Just throwing this out there to see if there is any interest .

A good friend of mine owns a Carp lake in France with fish up to 65lb. They arrange for people to fish the two lakes and they supply everything other than your food and sleeping bags ie; they supply rods, tackle, bivys, cooking equipment, showers, sleeping chairs, bait etc etc.

The big lake 7.5 acres is very picturesque with lots of wildlife.

I was toying with driving down on Friday and coming home sunday sometime in April 2012 when he says the fishing is good and we can drive down through a nice part of France.

There are 10 swims, two of them are doubles and if we limit ourselves to one rod each we can have 12 people (or 6 people with 2 rods each)

Here is a bit about the lakes with plenty of pictures. let me know if your interested and if enough are i will work out the costs etc.

I will be bringing my son so thats 2 to start with.

Depends on lots of things ie; whether they are carrying spawn, temp of water etc etc.
they can take anything up to an hour to play, a niced size grass carp even longer.
The thing with carp fishing is being patient while taking in the sites around the lake like ducks coming and going, kingfishers darting about, water voles swimming past etc. Dawn at 4-5am sitting around a picturesque lake is an awesome place to be.

this sounds awesome would love to do this but im fully booked for this month and next month,maybe a weekend in june,july august maybe?just noticed this is 2012 lol,would be into this as would moonshine.
