Cat temp light? Please help!

check to see if the wires are not shorting out somewhere causing the light to come on but i cant see how the light will cause the car to stall mate

Well steve. i will check it out tomorrow.
The car only started the spontaneous stalling after the light came on! could be a coincidence. But the car starts no problem after stalling.

Also is this light directly associated with the temp sensor as i didnt have a O2 sensor in place until today?(just had a blank in the exhaust hole!)

i cant see it being the problem mate however stranger things have happened,and the light is only for the temp sensor situated in the cat mate

lol, i got it from google images!!

do i have to take out the passenger seat to get to the wires if i dont see any wires underneath?

move the passenger seat all the way forward and you will see the wires poking up through the carpet

also if i check the wires and taped them up-will the light magically disappear?!

depends on what has happened mate as im not sure if the wires need to be sepaeated or joined in some way.

i just want to put closure on this thread.

i took the wire from underneath the car and taped up the end- voila-no more dash light and the car doesnt stall any more!
