have been having a quick look on the ringers forum and there seems to be quite a few changes....

the main one being the ring card. This replaces the tickets that used to be issued, you can also use it at the Devils Diner (at the main ring entrance) for food etc. Good and bad points to it, mainly that unless you keep an eye on how much you have spent there is no way of knowing when you have used up all your credit....you could be at the front of the queue and put the card in the machine and find you have spent it all.....! not a good thing lol.

have a look on the forum for updates :)

Other things to note. The police are out in force on local roads, especially on UK and German public holidays. They are noise testing again. The Cafe is much better than before. You now have to pay €0.50 to use the toilets under the cafe. Cars with bonnet pins are being chucked off. Drivers taking lots of people for pax laps are being chucked off if they're suspected of charging, etc, etc.....

That said, I had a ****ing great time last weekend.

Well the thing with the steering wheel and airbag is nothing you should worry about I´d say.

Been to the ring couple of weeks ago and it´s true that they have the Ring Card now. Also the cafe changed. Looks better now, but you wait a loooong time before you get anything. Even coke in bottle you can´t just pick up yourself, you gotta tell them, they will then open fridge for you and give you one.

Bonnet pins seem to be correct, yes. If you´ve fitted them, you probably won´t be able to go. Also they are defo extremely keen on big carbon rear spoilers! You will have to take it off if you wanna go for a lap.

Apart from that the Ring still is the absolute best track you can do!!! :boogy:

best reason ever bout bonnet pins.supposedly german road safety have said pins are a hazard to pedestrians .that if you knock someone down the pins could injure them.nothing to do with the car they attached too them injuring you.thats what safety steward told us anyway.health and safety are starting to take the piss a bit now to be honest.flush mounted aero catches are accepted though

I can´t tell ya dude, haven´t made the rules. In fact most of these things don´t even are "written down rules", but more like a "free decision" of the Ring-TUV-guys we have here.

If you want me to guess, I would say they don´t allow because they think that bonnet pins can be dangerous in a crash with people (I know this is unlikely to happen on a TRACK) or that cars that have bonnet pins fitted maybe have a major problem with the bonnet mount in general and are only trying to fix this by putting bonnet pins on, so maybe they don´t trust the whole thing.

I know this is all b*llsh*t. I´m just tellin you what they normally come up with here...

safety stewards exact words were if you hit someone bonnet pins could take someones eye out.that is reason they cracking down on them.we got stopped last year but if you put duct tape over them they said that was alright.as we all know duct tape is bulletproof.road safety authorities the same everywhere.weird!!

So far I have only heard about them being after the carbon ones. But to be honest I wouldn´t be surprised if I heard about someone not being allowed to go for his lap due to having a "normal" wing. Would have to be a GIANT one though...

With regards to the bonnet pins how do you think it stands with Aero catches?
