Toastie,

You think i would have hassle with my rear (carbon strut) wing from the skyline?
Ben, is this a carbon rear spoiler? If so, you will more then likely be in trouble mate. You will have to take it off to be allowed to drive on the ring.

Possibly Hockenheim, SPA, GP circuit.

Don't worry though it'll be fine.

Nah ben you should be cool

I have to say i'm thinking about running the Pug 308 down there (710 miles per tank)

and doin the hire car thing
Can see why - your RX8 is carboned up big time! - looks awesome though!

To be honest using the hire car (as i was forced to do in the end!) ended up being a good thing as i was able to drive the car hard round the ring building up confidence after each lap knowing that driving it on the edge wasn't too risky as it was a 250hp 3.0ltr alfa romeo, rolled caged, 888's and track suspension, rear wheel drive - it ran like a pile of crap but it had good handling though!

Only the struts that support the wing - the same as what i had last year (if you can remember it!)

Its not over-sized - just a GTR replica so to speak...

Bit of an update...

Some guys from SOC there last week. Bonnet pins - taping them up was OK apparently.

Big wings, canards, undertrays, etc were not allowed on. They want to get rid of the "racing" cars.
so any kind of modification that improves the stability of your car at speed is banned??

Well my Canards whip off easy enough, although worried about my rear wing now.

Might just walk down, buy my laps then try and whip on out without them noticing.

Cages will be fine for the ring.

Generally though cages are a problem in Germany with the TUV guys if you want them to put it down in the cars TUV documents. But this is not of interest for you guys...

There are lots of cars running rear diffusers and goind on the Ring, so shouldn´t be a problem. Make sure though all is mounted properly and nothing loose. Also it shouldn´t be some kind of home brewed jobbie that sticks out 2m from back of the car if you know what I mean.
