Just havin a couple of troubles of converting a R32 GTR gear box to RWD
We built up a RB30DET producing 390rwkw's at the mo
Sumone told me that u just change over the gear box housings but the RB20det & RB30 housings are no were the same as RB26DETT R32 GTR.
I have herd of a couple of people cutting and welding up the transfer case, but thats ugly and excess weight i would like to stay away from.

You haven't made it clear what your question is...

For a GTR gearbox you can not swap housings to convert the box to RWD. There are two..maybe three options as far as I see it.

1) Convert the GTR gearbox to RWD by molesting the transfer case - don't do this as it's a waste of a perfectly good transfer case.
2) Use an RB25 gearbox
3) You don't say what car this is for. I assume it isn't a GTR, which will mean you will have to massage the floor to fit the transfer case.

I would go with option #2 RB25 gearbox. A bit heavier than the RB20 gearbox, but lots stronger.
