Bugger, there's nothing you can really do bud, but wait for it to de thaw, put a new belt on her and hope for the best.
on a related cold weather note. the build up of snow in the wheel arches that hasnt thawed, but has turned to solid ice, managed to push my rear tyre off the inside rim yesterday.
tyre and wheel refitted. check your wheel wells people...mine were full to the turret tops. rubber mallet and big screw driver to chisel it out.****!![]()
contract/expand, crack!Don't try and speed up the thaw to much, the sudden change of temp will crack the block, think of your engine as glass now and you know what happens there with sudden temp changes.
That doesn't sound to bad bud.guess i'll be leaving the car to thaw out on its own then. Was thinking about running an extension lead out and putting a portable radiator under the car to warm the air a little and speed up (marginally) the thawing.
Yeah, any damage woudl have been done! I did contemplate stacking more snow on it as a protective blanket though :rofl:then let the water out from the block also and the heater rad,or you may be next, though if it were gona freeze it probably would have by now!
