Hi,
Im Steve from redditch in worcs. I have just bought a R33 GTST for a steal of a price as it has some minor engine probs which im hoping to get sorted in here. The car is one of the best ones I have ever seen and once it stops holding back im sure i will love it. Any owners from redditch feel free to get in touch
take it easy

welcome matey

any questions about you engine trouble just ask, but if she's holding back the must likly cause will be coilpacks, plugs, AFM or lambda sensor.

Welcome mate, theres plenty of problems that cause holding back and plenty of fixes.

Any idea what mods have allready been performed on the car that can show signs of overfueling a common problem.

can anyone tell me what the boost gague should read when under power, mine is boosting at about +1 to 2 ?
Also can anyone tell me of a skyline specialist in or near to worcestershire please?

Will post pics now, she has only dont 45000km and drives superb apart from the engine prob.

The car is, as far as I can tell, totally standard.

Also what sort of money is she worth when running right?
cheers
Steve

Right, yes im on the standard gague and when decelerating it drops to around -4 and +1 ish on foot down. should you get a massive kick up the ass when the turbo comes in or should it be smooth (mines an auto).
By holding back i mean that when you floor it the is no massive surge of power and occasionally it will missfire as if its running on 4 or 5 then a few minutes later it runs smooth as you like again but still lacking in power.
The missfire is almost like there is a dodgy connection somewhere or a sensor on the way out but the underpower is a diff thing all together.

just had a look and found a few things out. There was a piece of old air filter wedged in the intake befor the air box for some reason, took it out and made no difference to boost. Also the little black box on the pipe to the right of the air box and down, the top has come off it, dosent look like anyone has done anything but it may have let the water in??
