Hi Guys,

As Christmas is fast approaching and everyone likes a saving we have a few offers which are for this month only and will return to normal in January. A couple of them may even rise in January as we have been informed of a price increase for the chips we use to remap standard R33 ECU`s!

Standard R33 Custom Remap £384
Stage 1 Remap/Chip fitted and tested on the dyno with before and after figures £240 (this includes setting of boost controller and checking ignition timing)
Stage 1 Remap/Chip By Post £195
R32 GTR/GTST Standard ECU Remap £320
Apexi Power FC Map £300

Engine Oil change with 10/50 Fully Synthetic oil, New filter, vehicle check over and power run on the dyno. £124.80

We have a few dates available between Christmas & New Year for people who have time off over Christmas.

By stage 1 remap/chip by post do you mean the usual stage 1 v2 ecus at £210 when you send off your own ecu? Or is this something different? And if so does that still include sending your own ecu to yourselves as part of the deal?

Thanks

Can you please tell me what a stage one needs? As the 240 remap chip sounds very good also I need my boost controller sorted as I'm not even convinced it's plumbed in properly. Also iv had a rebuild recently with forged pistons and told not to floor it for like 500/1000miles I haven't done this yet so would you still be able to safely put my car on a dyno or better to wait?

Ep82jm, Yes its a stage 1 V2 map and you still need to send your ecu to us to be modified. Price incudes postage to a UK address.

Ben, If the person who built it has asked you to run it in that way then I would say your best to wait as we would need to run it at full throttle on the dyno to check fueling and to set the boost up. If we had built the engine I would say it would be fine as we run the engine in on the dno before the car leaves us.

ok thats fair enough thanks. i will be around 500 miles by mid december as im just driving it for the sake of running it in. the garage said 500 i wanted to look like 1000 just to be safe. if i get to just over 500 miles could i bring it down with the intention of getting it mapped and have you check it over and if all is ok go ahead with the map?

on a seperate note are you able to help with a loom issue i have. my r34 has a r33 gtst series 2 engine in and also came with a r33 climate control unit and the hazard switch cruidly stuck in the centre dash. i have now bought a r34 unit and fitted it and have sourced the r34 plugs i need to fit the back of the climate control units and the r34 hazard switch. im having alot of trouble finding a company who would be able to what i think the process would be to cut off the old r33 plugs and attach the r34 plugs to the r33 loom so i can use the r34 climate control and the hazard switch. i heard from another owner that you might be able to help??

thanks ben

Hi Ben,

500miles in my opinion would be fine. Just let us know when you are ready.

With regards to the loom I would think you are correct in that we should be able to swap the plugs and rewire. It is something we could do but I would have to digout all the wiring info first.

oh mate thats excellent news about the looms. is that likely to be a pricy job ?
with the remap it will be soon after xmas i think so ill call pretty soonish to secure a spot.

and one last question lol when running in the engine is keeping it below 2500 revs better or should i go to like 4500 every now and then? iv been driving it like miss daisy since i got it back lol.
thanks alot for your help youve filled me with alot of confidence.

Hi Ben,

No worries just remember the above price is for this month only. With regards to the running in we would have run it in hard from the start and it would not be uncommon for full throttle and revs to be within 20miles followed by a oil change. The problem is you need to follow the procedure that the person who has built the engine.

Wiring should only take a hour maybe 2 so worst case would be a £110. Most of the time will be in working the wiring out from the 2 diagrams.

With the R32 GTR remap, is it a custom map or a staged chip fitted into ECU?
What sort of power would it normally get? As i dont really want alot, just want it safe on this countrys fuel and to know that its running safely after just being imported!

Can you tell what mods I'd have to have on the car to be able to have the stage one map done? Also with my boost controller it doesn't look like it's plumbed into the engine just wired it. Is that a costly job to do? I assume I'd just need 2 plastic tubes to go into the module. I'm looking to book in for the 22nd Dec. Cheers

Stage one mods are considered to be :-

Full exhaust system
Induction Kit
Front mount intercooler
Boost control/Increase

We would only charge for the pipe to plumb it up if it is already wired up which would not cost much at all. We are booked up on the 22nd but the 23rd is Currently free.

Do you guys keep in stock decent quality metal exhaust gaskets? For turbo to elbow. And also 3 inch 2 bolt ones for the cat to mid pipe etc??

Basically if I come down I'd want a custom r33 map but I'm fairly sure there's a tiny blow from somewhere around the front. It sounds like the cat join to mid pipe but can't be certain. Would you guys swap the gasket for me before doing the custom map?

£384 is the custom map, on a standard R33 ECU (as in not on aftermarket management)

£240 is the generic v2 map on a chip, fitted to your ECU. It isnt custom.

For the best performance and every ouncec of potential from the car, with tons better driveability and smoothness, you'd want the custom one, not the generic one. the generic one is a "safe" map taking into account exhaust and intake changes etc.. It just assumes a lot of things.

Custom map is bespoke to your engine and mods specifically.
