Martin

Can you not change it so the avatar section is on the left as before then it would be a lot easier to follow the thread.

Thats something I think I made clear earlier. I will be changing the post viewing back to the previous style.

Good good good but what about the writing under my user name/ next to my avatar. I cant find where to change it & it makes me look like i died 10 yrs ago.

Martin, considering you did this when most were tucked up under their duvets, and you have already started rejigging it according to various views posted on here...such as the 'mark all posts read' on the new post page...I don't think you have done badly at all. Makes a change for the site admin to actually read and take notice of members views and, where possible, act on them.

One very minor thing I have found...not sure if anyone else has this, but....when finished reading new posts, and after clicking on marked posts as read, the time lapse from going from new posts back to main index has sometimes meant that posts put on in that time lapsed period also go as read...before I realise they are new...

Oh sh1t...does that make sense? probably not, but hey...lol

( I know wot I meant, even if its not entirely clear to the rest of you lol)

This has always been the case, and can not be changed. It is by design.

Also is it me or does the site subscribe you to every thread you post on now? So you get emails for every new post on a thread you have indeed posted on?
Hmm, I set the default so that you are not subscribed to every thread. I will double check, but you should check your profiles just to make sure it hasn't been changed there

Having now played with the site for a while, once the thread view is sorted, I think it is a huge jump forward. Love the thread preview if you hower over it on the new list and the change of thread title from bold once read and other bits like that that I keep finding. Cracking job mate...

First of all, I think we can all thank Martin for putting in his time & effort to making this forum happen. :hippy:

Right, now the harsh stuff :)

I am having to log in every time as well. Before the upgrade it would remember me, so I can't see how it can be the cookie settings.

I like the new look, though. However, on the home page, its strange having all the recent topics on the right-hand narrow column. That big one in the middle would seem more appropriate!

I am sure you will sort the niggles out over the next days / weeks, Martin.
