Electrical Issue?

I can not use my key button to unlock or lock the doors. The electric seats aren't working but they were working on and off for a couple of months then completely stopped working about a month or 2 before the windows and locks stopped. I am not sure whether or not to try get the car fixed or buy a new car. When I lock the door from the drivers side by pushing the lock I do hear a kind of tick tick noise. I did take it to a mechanic and they said the fuses are fine but thats about all they said. I don't know much about cars at all so abit lost.
