Is it essential the flywheel is skimmed when fitting a new clutch? Obviously if its really ruff I will have to get it skimmed but if its looks good it might be a waste of time.

as long as there aint a big lip where the otter circumference was of the old clutch was m8

i had heat spots on my flywheel when my clutch went so changed it as they can affect performance.......
