Gauging Interest - Power FC R33 GTST with Commander

i wouldnt risk putting a "stage 1" mapped pfc into anyother car but your own, best fitting and mapping it to the car it gets fitted to at the same time. More likely to cause damage to the new car.

if sold as just a PFC and Hand Commander you wont get any comeback

As long as his stage 1 mods are listed, then i cant see a problem with it...

RSP map ecus with out the car being there so id say its just the same... :dunno:

don't mean to slabber on your for sale thread but the power fc dosen't have knock control, rsp brain does, rsp stage 1 brain would be mapped safe, this one should be mapped close to his engines safe spot
putting that in another car would be risky without changeing the map imo

My PFC was mapped for stg 2ish and sold it.. The guy who bought it fit it with no probs what so ever.....

However if i bought it, i would get it remapped..

550 delivered i will take it straight away (assuming you buy the gtr and you do put this up for sale)

It wouldnt be risky as long as you had stage 1 mods. It is a safe map and is no way pushing my engine to the limits. I have given it to a few people who are running it with no issues, but i take no responisibility for it

And the RSP ecu drops the timing when it senses knock as does the standard ecu, the main point being WHEN its detected knock so if anything has happened then the damage is donealready .

With the power fc if you know how to use it you can set it so it does the same thing when it detects knock and you can also put what level of knock you want. This can be done with the commander or the datalogit and software that i use, so really that is not an issue.

Sorry mate, but have to disagree on this one. It's not correct. The Power FC can not drop the timing when detecting knock. Also it can't drop timing at a set knock value or anything. Only thing you can do is tell the PFC at what knock level you want it to warn you, it will then make the check engine light flash, that's it. It won't take back any timing whatsoever.

Still a good ECU and a fair price. Good luck with the sale.

it does show you knock level though on the controller doesnt it? or so i was led to believe. at least that way you know if its getting high or low knock readings

Yep your right there mate, just checked my mapping software. Either way warning of knock at the limit you put it at or retarding once detecting knock as the standard ECU does, the damage is still done already.
