I'm changing the fluid in the gear box. I've read that 75/90 is an OK viscosity to use. How ever before I go out and buy fluid, how many bottles litres will I need to fill it?

i think its five an half and that shockproof one is best bruce uses one of the heads here.

I'm sure its 4.5L, and as Chormelvin has said Redline heavy duty Gearshock oil in my ees is by far the best one out there.

just done mine when fitted new clutch and it took just over 4 liters.

4.1ltr according to my book.

The Redline Heavy Shock Proof is ok but to be honest for its price there is much better quality available from both Motul, Silkolene and some of Redlines other gear oils.

Just changed the oil. I filled it until it overflowed from the filler plug half way up the box. This was about 3.5L. Although I drained all the old oil out.
