I can tell you about the best sale i ever had....

I found a genuine NOS gauge for sale in Xtreme Motorsport in Harlow, they had ordered it in for a customer from America - but the guy never paid, so i said i'd take it - how much? The guy didn't have a clue so i got it for £35!

Straight onto ebay and i've never seen such an intense bidding war over one of my items before - bidding went stupid and ended up selling for £280! Buyer paid immediately!!! :D

Suckers! :smoker:

I bought 38 forged cosworth pistons for my dragbike for £400.

Cosworth were having a clear out and they were pretty unique size so i did a deal with the guy over the phone.

I used to pay £88 PER PISTON without rings, pins or teflon buttons, these came with everything apart from the rings

Sold three sets of four (12) and got about £350 for them so the rest cost me £50

Best sale was a Gilera Runner 125 that was an insurance write off due to a broken steering lock, the bike was 3 years old and its a long story but i had a mate who worked at a dealership who sourced it for me.

I ordered the parts to repair it and they cost about £70 on top of the £150 or so i paid for the bike.

I used it as a paddock bike when i was racing and for towing and never bothered putting it on the road although i had the V5 logbook.

After some time i realised it was a lot bigger then I needed so put it on ebay as non running/spares or repair with a reserve of £200.

It sold for £630 and the guy came on the train to collect it , he even gave me £20 for picking him up from the train station :)

He rode the bike back against my advice and had no end of trouble due to the carb being blocked with crap, but he was a happy chap all in all

I sell lots of things (buy a few too). Check out colinspooky or contact me directly here if you want video games - I am partially in the trade, and have a million (well lots) of them sitting around gathering dust, usually for around £3 or so, or about half price if they are new in retail packs.
