Both cars look like great spec for the money and Im sure you would get the insurance no problem. The only down side would be a 600bhp car is going to drink fuel and thats not good with prices on there way up.
Its bloody tempting to but the 33 just to sell on to make a few quid!!

i am only getting 11mpg in the gtst and i have spoken to two bloke who have r32 gtr's with 600bhp and both get more than that.
im 23 with 5 years ncb but 600bhp and a rollcage make insurance run a mile.
gtst cost me £1300 last year!

frist one doesn't have forggies in which worries me on 600bhp.
i have about £500 a month to run the car not including insurance is that enough/
i only do sort of 7,000 miles a year

will do mate
im still not 100% sure i can afford to run these bad boys to be fair and i have been looking at other cars but i would miss the whole owning a skyline thing i.e this place/meets/wow skyline!

part of me thinks £500 a month would get my gtst in to a beast of a car in no time but part says don't be stupid its not worth it and at the prices of high powered gtr's its showing that.

took me years to realise that you cant use your "special" car for everyday use
Get a tdi anything for work and keep the other for best, then it will be "special,
i used to use 70 quid a week in fuel in my TurboTechnics sierra xr4x4, never again, and that was only local traveling, it did 4mpg when at full boost, not good :(
even better get a tdi van then you can lug around anything, tools, wheels, an engine etc ;)

IF you don't think that having 2 cars makes sense, IT WILL !!!

I have made the mistake before putting 55.000 miles on a 11,000 pound car, in 3 years plus what I spent on modifying it say maybe 3-4k only to sell it for 6500. NEVER AGAIN !!!!

But I have to say I enjoyed every minute and every mile brought a smile :D

the r33 sounds really nice, but 10k seems quite cheap for a spec list that long.

for the other peeps, boost has didly squit to do with mpg, the ol' right foot controls both.

the 32 would be my choice, but as you said the lack of forged pistons is a worry for 600+ and the big tubby.

besides buying a Skyline for mpg is like buying a chocolate heatshield!! you know its not gonna happen :dogpile:
