Guys,

I need some advice on my front headlights. I know the yellowing plastic can be cleaning up by popping the seals etc but I've seen some skyline with absolutely immaculate lights . .sometimes slightly tinted.

Are these simply new OEM headlights? Are there any aftermarket headlights out there? I already have the HID kit, but was wondering how to get better headlamps.

Any advice will be much appreciated . .

I would advise trying to clean them up yourself if your considering buying new ones anyway as there not cheap.

most autofactors stock Meguiar's, at least they do round where I live. could check online to see if your nearest halfords sell it.

i popped my cover only to find it was like new inside!!! very deceiving looking at the outside of them thinking theyre grubby inside,just a good buff outside should do the twick

You don't have to open them up, most of the yellowing is on the outside.

In the UK it's called Plast-RX instead of PlastX because of some trademark issues and they got removed from Halfords...

Have a look at my thread, there's quite some pics of mine, they were really bad and came up very nice just with Plast-RX:

I polished mine with normal Autoglym polish - it lasts for a few weeks! Does Plast-RX last any longer? Is there a permanent fix (maybe a transparent lacquer)?

I polished mine with autosol metal polish and waxed after... Autoglym polish does the trick also.. I did buy a pair of new lights though..

Unless you protect it from UV after cleaning (spray on laquer or similar), it'll need doing regularly imho. No biggy though.
