Help , What did I break???

918 Views 23 Replies 12 Participants Last post by  DazzaGTRVspec
Changing hoses today managed to snap this:

Note the toothpick!

The pipe was on solid and thinking it was metal like all the other connectors I had changed I gave it a little love tug. Snapped the plastic off. Bugger.

So what is it, whats it do and where do I get a replacement??

looks like an air valve of some sorts :)
is it not the oem boost sensor
carbon canistor purge valve.
It just lets the vapours from the carbon canistor into the engine.
If you can disconnect it without the ecu throwing a code up I'd just bin the complete carbon canistor system,

part number is 14930-AA000
Awesome Andy, will play tomorrow afternoon.

Bugger, managed to glue it, but then the toothpick was stuck!!! Bugger!!!

Drove to work this morning without it connected and no issues noticed.

Any idea the negative side effect of not having it connected?
With it disconnected does the stock boost gauge still work?
Ooo seemed to :D Ill double check!
positve thats your boost sensor, i replaced gizmos last year his had snapped and gave him a miss on full chat
Only got to turn over for 1 min, but movement on the boost guage when pressing the heavy peddle. Seems to be showing low though?
Did you disconnect the pipe before you revved it?
Pipe is not connected, the fix did not fix the connector last night!
