im working on my car now and basically using the standard R33 GTST ECU i want to not use the Hicas as obviously my 200SX has not got it is it a case of just disconnecting the wires in the ECU or is it more technical?

Andy,
I believe Sarky misread the post, the hicas lock is a mechanical solution to replace the linkeage on the back of the car. The hicas is electrically driven on the r33 it is more difficult to disable without having the hicas fault light in the dashboard, as you dont have one i cannot think of any issues you will have just disconnecting the wires

I think you will find that he has an RB engine in an S14 and is just wondering about the RB ECU, as the S14 aint got an interesting rear axle set up like ours.
